Healy, located 12 miles north of Denali National Park, is the largest year-round community in the Denali Borough.
Healy celebrated its Centennial anniversary in 2019. Mineral exploration and discovery (coal) lead to the construction of the Alaska Railroad and George Parks Hwy, which are now part of critical infastructure in Alaska. The main industries are mining, power generation and tourism. This community is home to the Borough government, local school district and numerous year-round small businesses. There are year-round hotels, restaurants and tours operating here.
